Yoga Health Management

Bhakti Yoga is the other aspect of Ashram Life, which is formed by the basic principles of faith and belief. Swami Satyananda had predicted that, “The future generations of this century will be the bhakti generation. Not raja yoga, nor even jnana yoga, the next generation will be that of bhakti yoga.” Bhakti yoga is accessible to one and all from any religion, nationality, caste and creed. It shows us the way to turn emotions from worldly attachments, desires, lust, hate and anger towards a greater power, which brings upliftment, happiness and contentment. Bhakti yoga is not a religion nor does it have anything to do with rituals. Rather it is a path of yoga that can bring us to the highest point of experience in our lives, realization of our true potential and the experience of a higher power.

Swami Satyananda has said, “The greatest lesson we have to learn is the lesson of life. And this becomes available to us when we decide to step out of our routine existence and adopt some different ways to live by, even if it is for a short time. One of these ways is ashram life, where you can stay for a few days as a sannyasin and live a life that is diametrically opposite to yours and learn how to deal with different situations, different people, different problems, and at the same time, also learn to deal with yourself.”

“The future generation of this century will be the bhakti generation. Not raja yoga, nor even jnana yoga, the next generation will be that of bhakti yoga.”
